Canada by Bike: Laurie in Ontario

Laurie Comtois left Montreal on June 30 to travel across Canada by bike in order to raise funds for the Alzheimer Society of Montreal.

What was intended as a team project is now a solo expedition. Martin Dupuis, Laurie’s team mate, has unfortunately had to turn back once at Sudbury, Ontario. 2010 Forget-Me-Not Exhibit

On Sunday, August 22nd, Mr. Maurice Proulx will host the 2010 Forget-Me-Not Exhibit, in the flower gardens of his house in Notre-Dame-de-Grace.

Organized by the latter, whose wife is affected by Alzheimer's disease at an advanced stage, the exhibition brings together paintings by a score of professional artists and amateurs. They have agreed to sell their art work in order to support the Alzheimer Society of Montreal and its mission. Some paintings have also been produced by Mr. Proulx.  […]

Hector Toe Blake Golf Tournament

On August 26th, 2010, the 16th annual Hector "Toe" Blake Golf Tournament will be held, as a tribute to this legendary hockey player and coach of Montreal Canadiens who passed away after several years living with Alzheimer's disease. Communication Strategies and Cognitive Stimulation

This training exposes participants to valuable communication techniques focused on positive interactions and behaviour habilitation strategies adapted to any person touched by ADRD. Combined to these communication strategies, cognitive stimulation techniques will be explored, with an attention to environment triggers.
