Activity Centres

A Haven That Provides Respite for Families and Promotes Keeping the Person With Alzheimer’s at Home

The Alzheimer Society of Montréal currently operates three Activity Centres located in N.D.G., Lachine and Montréal-North. Each of the Centres employs qualified staff and volunteers with the knowledge and experience required to meet the special needs of participants and reassure family members.

The Activity Centres aim to allow caregivers and families a few hours of respite on Saturdays. In a safe, welcoming environment, people with the disease are guided by our staff through a full day of therapeutic activities adapted to their needs. The activities are geared primarily towards maintaining the participants’ abilities and improving their quality of life.
