Therapeutic Recreation
The Alzheimer Society of Montréal offers and organises a range of activities as part of a therapeutic recreation programme led by certified staff members in the field of Therapeutic Recreation and Special Care Counselling.
What is Therapeutic Recreation?
“Therapeutic recreation recognizes leisure, recreation and play as integral components of quality of life.”1 At the Alzheimer Society of Montréal, therapeutic recreation activities, such as art therapy, are offered to people with the disease and their caregivers.
