Mission

Since 1981, the Alzheimer Society of Montréal works to alleviate the social and personal consequences of Alzheimer’s and related disorders, as well as to promote research into their causes and cure.

The “Forget Me Not” Flower – Symbol of the Alzheimer Society

The symbol of the Alzheimer Society is the Forget Me Not flower. It symbolizes memory loss—one of the symptoms of Alzheimer’s—and reminds us not to forget the people affected by the disease: those who have been diagnosed with it, and those who care for them.
